Promoting Your Podcast from A to Z - Write Articles
There are a number of ways to attract new listeners by writing short articles that relate to the topic of your podcast. These articles should deliver valuable information, but they only need to be 500-1000 words long. Here are two ways to use this kind of supplementary text content to attract new listeners:
1. Post it on your own site to attract search engine traffic
I’ve already talked about how you need quality text content on your site that will get indexed and ranked in the search engines. Your show notes provide good text content, but adding articles to your site will boost your search engine marketing even more.
2. Post it to article directories
There are lots of web sites and email newsletters that are constantly in need of fresh content. There are directories where you can post an article with permission to use it. Anyone who publishes the article is required to include your byline (a short bio and link back to your site).
