Podcasters Sign Open Letter to Apple: Please Add Podcasts to iTunes WiFi Store

Open Letter to Apple on Digg

Yesterday, Chris Penn posted an open letter to apple asking them to add podcasts to the iTunes WiFi Music Store. As of writing this, 77 people have signed the post in the comments and 802 people have Dugg it. It’s currently on the front page of Digg.

WiFi consumption of podcasts is inevitable. It will certainly make things easier for consumers and boost overall consumption of podcasts. Apple has come one step closer with their partnership with Starbucks and the release of the WiFi music store. Sadly, you still can’t surf the podcast directory, subscribe or sync via the iTunes WiFi Music Store.

As online content publishers we need to do whatever we can to support infrastructure that makes it easier to find and consume our content. This is critical for the growth of podcasting and new media online.

Whether you’re a podcast consumer, publisher or both, please add your voice to this letter by adding a comment to Chris’ letter
