Wednesday, October 03rd, 2007

Microsoft just announced Zune 2 and this time, podcasts are supported. The presence of the Zune guys at the New Media Expo was indication that something exciting was on the horizon, but when I had dinner with them on Saturday night their lips were sealed. Now the news is confirmed. Here are the important details.

  • The Zune Marketplace will soon include a select number of audio and video podcasts
  • You also be able to subscribe to any other podcast by entering an RSS feed address
  • Zune 2 will sync via wireless at home (very handy for podcast syncing)
  • The new Zunes will be available this holiday season

Yahoo! Podcasts Shutting Down

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

On October 31st Yahoo will shut down their podcast directory. I just noticed this on their site.

I can’t say I am surprised. It has floundered for some time and it is just as well. Previously I placed them in my top ten most important directories because…well…it’s Yahoo!.

Brief Blogging Break

Wednesday, May 02nd, 2007

I’m late in giving this “heads up” update, but here it is now.

April was overloaded with speaking engagements and client work that took me away from blogging as much as I’d like. Now I am on a much-needed vacation in The Caribbean. I’ll be back to blogging and podcasting starting again next week. Talk to you soon.

The Faces of PodCamp NYC

Friday, April 13th, 2007

Here’s a collage of the Photo Booth pictures that people to at my table at PodCamp NYC. I had hoped to list all the names of everyone with this, but I have a flight to catch in a few hours and six workshops to prepare for NAB. I’ll see if I can add them later.

Still, I wanted to get these great photos up. Thanks to all those who participated and thanks to Chris Brogan for the great idea. Enjoy!

Alaska is the New Hamptons

Thursday, May 25th, 2006

My wife and I have moved to Alaska for the summer. Most people in NYC go out to the Hamptons on Long Island to escape the heat. I’m trying to be a trendsetter by spending the summer in AK instead. Not only do we have family here, but it is paradise in the summer. Just look at the picture of the view from my office!
