Yesterday I had an interesting call on which I was berated by the owner of a podcast directory that I mention in my book. It was surreal. But before I tell you that story, let me give you an important update on my top recommended podcast directories to submit to…

In chapter one of Promoting Your Podcast, I talk about how to get maximum exposure in the podcast directories. At the end of the chapter, I share a list of my top recommendations of directories to submit your podcast to. Since the aforementioned podcast directory owner didn’t like being in my book, now is a good time to update the list.

I’ve talked in the past about Headline Animator and I also mentioned it in my book. Not only have FeedBurner been souping up the Headline Animator features, but they’ve also now added stats for tracking it.

Michael Geoghegan pointed out that Google will be exhibiting at the Podcast and New Media Expo. Their listing links to this page on AdSense for Audio.

Some podcasting colleagues and I have put together a collection of the best “how to” content for podcasters to be syndicated as an ongoing podcast station on Podango called the Podcast Mastery Network (this link won’t be active until Mar 5th). I’ve asked some of my favorite podcasters to participate in the station and share their best podcasting tips and tricks.

The station will include content from Paul Colligan (Podcast Tools & Profitable Podcasting), John Havens (About.com Guide to Podcasting), Charles Stricklin (Podcast Planning), Leesa Barnes (Podonomics) and myself. The station launches on March 5th.
